thee； and that thou mayest reign over all that thine heart desireth。 And David sent Abner away； and he went in peace。
3：22约押和大卫的仆人攻击敌军，带回许多的掠物。那时押尼珥不在希伯仑大卫那里，因大卫已经送他去，他也平平安安地去了。
And； behold； the servants of David and Joab came from pursuing a troop； and brought in a great spoil with them： but Abner was not with David in Hebron； for he had sent him away； and he was gone in peace。
3：23约押和跟随他的全军到了，就有人告诉约押说，尼珥的儿子押尼珥来见王，王送他去，他也平平安安地去了。
When Joab and all the host that was with him were e； they told Joab； saying； Abner the son of Ner came to the king； and he hath sent him away； and he is gone in peace。
3：24约押去见王说，你这是作什么呢。押尼珥来见你，你为何送他去，他就踪影不见了呢。
Then Joab came to the king； and said； What hast thou done？ behold； Abner came unto thee； why is it that thou hast sent him away； and he is quite gone？
3：25你当晓得，尼珥的儿子押尼珥来是要诓哄你，要知道你的出入和你一切所行的事。
Thou knowest Abner the son of Ner； that he came to deceive thee； and to know thy going out and thy ing in； and to know all that thou doest。
3：26约押从大卫那里出来，就打发人去追赶押尼珥，在西拉井追上他，将他带回来，大卫却不知道。
And when Joab was e out from David； he sent messengers after Abner； which brought him again from the well of Sirah： but David knew it not。
3：27押尼珥回到希伯仑，约押领他到城门的瓮洞，假作要与他说机密话，就在那里刺透他的肚腹，他便死了。这是报杀他兄弟亚撒黑的仇。
And when Abner was returned to Hebron； Joab took him aside in the gate to speak with him quietly； and smote him there under the fifth rib； that he died； for the blood of Asahel his brother。
3：28大卫听见了，就说，流尼珥的儿子押尼珥的血，这罪在耶和华面前必永不归我和我的国。
And afterward when David heard it； he said； I and my kingdom are guiltless before the LORD for ever from the blood of Abner the son of Ner：
3：29愿流他血的罪归到约押头上和他父的全家。又愿约押家不断有患漏症的，长大麻疯的，架拐而行的，被刀杀死的，缺乏饮食的。
Let it rest on the head of Joab； and on all his father's house； and let there not fail from the house of Joab one that hath an issue； or that is a leper； or that leaneth on a staff； or that falleth on the sword； or that lacketh bread。
3：30约押和他兄弟亚比筛杀了押尼珥，是因押尼珥在基遍争战的时候杀了他们的兄弟亚撒黑。
So Joab and Abishai his brother slew Abner； because he had slain their brother Asahel at Gibeon in the battle。
3：31大卫吩咐约押和跟随他的众人说，你们当撕裂衣服，腰束麻布，在押尼珥棺前哀哭。大卫王也跟在棺后。
And David said to Joab； and to all the people that were with him； Rend your clothes； and gird you with sackcloth； and mourn before Abner。 And king David himself followed the bier。
3：32他们将押尼珥葬在希伯仑。王在押尼珥的墓旁放声而哭，众民也都哭了。
And they buried Abner in Hebron： and the king lifted up his voice； and wept at the grave of Abner； and all the people wept。
3：33王为押尼珥举哀，说，押尼珥何竟像愚顽人死呢。
And the king lamented over Abner； and said； Died Abner as a fool dieth？
3：34你手未曾捆绑，脚未曾锁住。你死，如人死在罪孽之辈手下一样。于是众民又为押尼珥哀哭。
Thy hands were not bound； nor thy feet put into fetters： as a man falleth before wicked men； so fellest thou。 And all the people wept again over him。
3：35日头未落的时候，众民来劝大卫吃饭，但大卫起誓说，我若在日头未落以前吃饭，或吃别物，愿神重重地降罚与我。
And when all the people came to cause David to eat meat while it was yet day； David sware； saying； So do God to me； and more also； if I taste bread； or ought else； till the sun be down。
3：36众民知道了就都喜悦。凡王所行的，众民无不喜悦。
And all the people took notice of it； and it pleased them： as whatsoever the king did pleased all the people。
3：37那日，以色列众民才知道杀尼珥的儿子押尼珥并非出于王意。
For all the people and all Israel understood that day that it was not of the king to slay Abner the son of Ner。
3：38王对臣仆说，你们岂不知今日以色列人中死了一个作元帅的大丈夫吗。
And the king said unto his servants； Know ye not that there is a prince and a great man fallen this day in Israel？
3：39我虽然受膏为王，今日还是软弱。这洗鲁雅的两个儿子比我刚强。愿耶和华照着恶人所行的恶报应他。
And I am this day weak； though anointed king； and these men the sons of Zeruiah be too hard for me： the LORD shall reward the doer of evil according to his wickedness。

4：1扫罗的儿子伊施波设听见押尼珥死在希伯仑，手就发软。以色列众人也都惊惶。
And when Saul's son heard that Abner was dead in Hebron； his hands were feeble； and all the Israelites were troubled。
4：2扫罗的儿子伊施波设有两个军长，一名巴拿，一名利甲，是便雅悯支派，比录人临门的儿子。比录也属便雅悯。
And Saul's son had two men that were captains of bands： the name of the one was Baanah； and the name of the other Rechab； the sons of Rimmon a Beerothite； of the children of Benjamin： （for Beeroth also was reckoned to Benjamin。
4：3比录人早先逃到基他音，在那里寄居，直到今日。
And the Beerothites fled to Gittaim； and were sojourners there until this day。）
4：4扫罗的儿子约拿单有一个儿子名叫米非波设，是瘸腿的。扫罗和约拿单死亡的消息从耶斯列传到的时候，他才五岁。他乳母抱着他逃跑。因为跑得太急，孩子掉在地上，腿就瘸了。
And Jonathan； Saul's son； had a son that was lame of his feet。 He was five years old when the tidings came of Saul and Jonathan out of Jezreel； and his nurse took him up； and fled： and it came to pass； as she made haste to flee； that he fell； and became lame。 And his name was Mephibosheth。
4：5一日，比录人临门的两个儿子利甲和巴拿出去，约在午热的时候到了伊施波设的家。伊施波设正睡午觉。
And the sons of Rimmon the Beerothite； Rechab and Baanah； went； and came about the heat of the day to the house of Ishbosheth； who lay on a bed at noon。
4：6他们进了房子，假作要取麦子，就刺透伊施波设的肚腹，逃跑了。
And they came thither into the midst of the house； as though they would have fetched wheat； and they smote him under the fifth rib： and Rechab and Baanah his brother escaped。
4：7他们进房子的时候，伊施波设正在卧房里躺在床上，他们将他杀死，割了他的首级，拿着首级在亚拉巴走了一夜，
For when they came into the house； he lay on his bed in his bedchamber； and they smote him； and slew him； and beheaded him； and took his head； and gat them away through the plain all night。
4：8将伊施波设的首级拿到希伯仑见大卫王，说，王的仇敌扫罗曾寻索王的性命。看哪，这是他儿子伊施波设的首级。耶和华今日为我主我王在扫罗和他后裔的身上报了仇。
And they brought the head of Ishbosheth unto David to Hebron； and said to the king； Behold the head of Ishbosheth the son of Saul thine enemy； which sought thy life； and the LORD hath avenged my lord the king this day of Saul； and of his seed。
4：9大卫对比录人临门的儿子利甲和他兄弟巴拿说，我指着救我性命脱离一切苦难，永生的耶和华起誓，
And David answered Rechab and Baanah his brother； the sons of Rimmon the Beerothite； and said unto them； As the LORD liveth； who hath redeemed my soul out of all adversity；
4：10从前有人报告我说，扫罗死了，他自以为报好消息。我就拿住他，将他杀在洗革拉，这就作了他报消息的赏赐。
When one told me； saying； Behold； Saul is dead； thinking to have brought good tidings； I took hold of him； and slew him in Ziklag； who thought that I would have given him a reward for his tidings：
4：11何况恶人将义人杀在他的床上，我岂不向你们讨流他血的罪，从世上除灭你们呢。
How much more； when wicked men have slain a righteous person in his own house upon his bed？ shall I not therefore now require his blood of your hand； and take you away from the earth？
4：12于是大卫吩咐少年人将他们杀了，砍断他们的手脚，挂在希伯仑的池旁，却将伊施波设的首级葬在希伯仑押尼珥的坟墓里。
And David manded his young men； and they slew them； and cut off their hands and their feet； and hanged them up over the pool in Hebron。 But they took the head of Ishbosheth； and buried it in the sepulchre of Abner in Hebron。

5：1以色列众支派来到希伯仑见大卫，说，我们原是你的骨肉。
Then came all the tribes of Israel to David unto Hebron； and spake； saying； Behold； we are thy bone and thy flesh。
5：2从前扫罗作我们王的时候，率领以色列人出入的是你。耶和华也曾应许你说，你必牧养我的民以色列，作以色列的君。
Also in time past； when Saul was king over us； thou wast he that leddest out and broughtest in Israel： and the LORD said to thee； Thou shalt feed my people Israel； and thou shalt be a captain over Israel。
5：3于是以色列的长老都来到希伯仑见大卫王，大卫在希伯仑耶和华面前与他们立约，他们就膏大卫作以色列的王。
So all the elders of Israel came to the king to Hebron； and king David made a league with them in Hebron before the LORD： and they anointed David king over Israel。
5：4大卫登基的时候年三十岁，在位四十年。
David was thirty years old when he began to reign； and he reigned forty years。
5：5在希伯仑作犹大王七年零六个月，在耶路撒冷作以色列和犹大王三十三年。
In Hebron he reigned over Judah seven years and six months： and in Jerusalem he reigned thirty and three years over all Israel and Judah。
5：6大卫和跟随他的人到了耶路撒冷，要攻打住那地方的耶布斯人。耶布斯人对大卫说，你若不赶出瞎子，瘸子，必不能进这地方。心里想大卫决不能进去。
